IRCC Invites Francophone Candidates in New Category-based Express Entry Draw
Canada opened new draw of federal Express Entry System on February 29, 2024 to invite 2,500 Francophone (French-speaking) candidates this time around. This was the second EE draw this week and fourth category-based Express Entry draw in February 2024. In total six EE invitation rounds occurred in February month, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited whopping 16,110 candidates to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa. This was the 9th express entry immigration draw of 2024, bringing the total number of issued invitations this year to 19,390.
Analysis of New EE invitation round
The ITAs issued in this month were decent enough (i.e. 2,500) while the CUT OFF dropped significantly to just 336 points this being a category-based Express Entry draw. This in fact is the lowest CUT OFF this year until date announced by Canadian immigration department in any Express Entry invitation round.
