AAIP- Express Entry stream
The Alberta PNP - Express Entry stream is a pathway designed by the province of Alberta in Canada to assess and subsequently, nominate eligible applicants for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) through the federal Express Entry system. This stream is part of the Alberta PNP and allows the province to select skilled workers who have shown their interest in living and working in Alberta.
Under the Express Entry stream, Alberta finds candidates from the federal Express Entry pool who possess the skills and experience required to contribute to the province's economy and labour market. Candidates who receive a provincial nomination through this stream are awarded 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points in the EE system, thus, considerably increasing their chances of receiving an invitation to apply for Canadian PR visa from Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). This is possibly the only program that invites candidates even with the lowest CRS score, i.e. just 300 points. Hence, it is one of the easiest pathways to apply for and obtain the PR visa in Canada.
The Alberta PNP - Express Entry stream functions through various immigration draws, targeting specific occupations or sectors based on Alberta's economic priorities.
