Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP)
The AAIP is a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) that allows the province of Alberta to invite, assess and nominate applicants, who have the skills and experience required in the local labour market for permanent residency in Canada.
The Express Entry stream of Alberta PNP is associated with the federal Express Entry system, which manages the applications for 3 of Canada's main economic immigration programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program
- Federal Skilled Trades Program
- Canadian Experience Class
The CRS score requirement for AAIP draws is usually lower than the federal EE draws, which means that applicants with lower CRS scores may have a greater chance of getting an invitation.
