Canada Accepting Applications for IEC program 2023
The pools for Canada’s International Experience Canada (IEC) program 2023 are now open. Eligible candidates can now create a profile, and select their country or territory.
The Immigration, Refugee, Citizenship Canada (IRCC) regularly invite eligible candidates from the IEC pools to apply for Canada work permit via rounds of invitations. However, the number of candidates invited to apply during each draw varies.
International Experience Canada (IEC) allows youth to travel and work in Canada for up to 2 years. Following are the 3 kinds of work and travel experiences available:
Working Holiday- Open Work Permit
This category is ideal for those, who
- doesn’t have a job offer in Canada
- wish to work for more than 1 Canadian employer
- wish to work in more than one location in Canada
- wish to earn money for travelling
Young Professionals- Employer-Specific Work Permit
This category is ideal for those, who
- Have a prior job offer from a Canadian employer
- Will work for the same employer at the same location during their stay in Canada
International Co-op (Internship)- Employer-Specific Work Permit
This category is ideal for those, who:
- is a student registered at Canadian post-secondary institution
- have a job offer for internship or work placement in Canada
- need to do internship or work placement to complete studies
- will work for the same employer at the same location during their stay in Canada
