Canada Immigration: June 2022 PNP Draw Updates

As the Canadian government finally held an all-program Express Entry draw after nearly two-year, the Canadian provinces were on their toes to nominate eligible applicants from the pool for permanent residency.

British Columbia

The British Columbia PNP conducted 11 targeted PNP draws and two general PNP draws in June 2022.

In this draw, the province issued more than 600 invitations to apply for nomination in June 2022. The BCPNP targeted applicants with work experience in the following occupations:

  • Early Childhood Educators (NOC 4214)
  • Healthcare workers (in 35 healthcare-related occupations)
  • Health care assistants (NOC 3413)
  • Other priority occupations including NOCs 3114 and 3213
  • BCPNP tech candidates

Alberta

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) opened one Alberta Express Entry stream draw on June 16 and issued 150 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination. The CRS score requirement for this round was only 306 points.

Manitoba

The Manitoba PNP issued a total of 146 ITAs via general PNP draw in June and invited eligible applicants under following streams:

  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba
  • Skilled Workers Overseas
  • International Education

The province also opened a special draw for Ukraine nationals on June 20, 2022. It was the fifth special draw of the year, and this time, Manitoba issued 14 LAAs (letters of Advice to Apply) to people affected by ongoing events in Ukraine.

Ontario

The Ontario PNP opened three draws in June via Ontario s Express Entry Skilled Trades stream, French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream and Employer Job Offer.

In these draws, the province targeted applicants who met the eligibility criteria for the stream, along with additional draw-specific criteria.

In June 2022, Ontario also announced its nomination allocation for 2022 from the federal government of Canada and is expected to issue 9,750 nominations.d

Prince Edward Islan

The Prince Edward Island PNP opened an EOI draw on June 16, 2022, and invited 127 applicants under the Express Entry & Labour streams. Another nine applicants were invited under OINP s Business Work Permit Entrepreneur stream.
