Canada – Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) invited over 5,000 candidates in Feb 2023

Canadian PNPs provide an alternate pathway to get Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa, especially, for the candidates who do not have high CRS points in Express Entry System. In February 2023, the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) have invited nearly 5,464 candidates to apply for the provincial nomination. Here are key PNP draw updates this month:

Manitoba draws on 23 and 24 Feb 2023

Manitoba held three different draws of Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) on 23 and 24 February to invite candidates under key streams:

  • For Ukrainians -Special immigration measure draw - 13 ITAs
  • Occupation specific draw for Skilled Worker in Manitoba – 207 Letters of Advice (LAAs) to apply for provincial nomination
  • Regular draw of MPNP- 376 LAAs (Letters of Advice)

BC PNP draw on 22 February

Latest invitation round of British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) opened February 22, 2023. In this draw, BC invited about 246 immigration candidates to apply for provincial nomination for Canadian Permanent Resident (PR) Visa.

Monthly PEI PNP Draw on 16 February 2023

The scheduled monthly draw of PEI PNP (Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program) opened on February 16, 2023. In this PEI PNP draw, the PEI issued total 228 invitations under key categories, i.e. Business, Labour and Express Entry category. The next PEI PNP draw is scheduled to occur on 16 March 2023.

Saskatchewan PNP Draw opened on 16 Feb 2023

The Saskatchewan PNP- ISW category draw opened on February 16, 2023. In this draw, SINP has issued total 421 ITAs for provincial nomination. Key subcategories of ISW (International Skilled Worker) category, i.e. OID and Express Entry subcategory received invitations along with one Ukrainian candidate as special immigration measure.

British Columbia PNP draw on 14 Feb

On February 14, 2023, the BC held targeted draws for its PNP, i.e. British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP). In these draws, BC invited around 237 immigration candidates to apply for the provincial nomination for Canadian PR Visa.

OINP Targeted draws on 10 February 2023

Two draws of Ontario PNP took place on same date, i.e. 10 February 2023 to invite total 771 immigration candidates to apply for the provincial nomination. The OINP held these draws for its key streams, i.e.

  • Express Entry- Skilled Trades stream and
  • Employer Job Offer- Foreign Worker Stream

MPNP Draw 9 February 2023

Manitoba PNP conducted immigration draw on February 9, 2023 to issue total 308 Letters of Advice (LAAs).  In this draw, the MPNP issued ITAs (Invitations to Apply) to all key streams of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

Ontario PNP draw opened on 9 February 2023

The Skilled Trades stream draw of Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) opened on February 9, 2023 to issue 510 Letters of Advice (LAAs) to apply for provincial nomination. It was the 2nd draw of this particular OINP stream this year.

BC PNP draw on 7 February 2023

General and targeted draw of British Columbia PNP opened on February 7, 2023. In these targeted draws, BC has invited total 245 immigration candidates to apply for the provincial nomination.

OINP Draws on 2 February 2023

Major Canadian province Ontario held two-targeted draws for OINP- Human Capital Priorities (HCP) Stream on February 2, 2023 to issue total 1,902 Letters of Advice (LAAs) to apply for provincial nomination. In these draws of Ontario invited Tech and Health occupations with a CRS score range 476-489 points.
