Express Entry Draw: First Ever Federal Skilled Worker-Only Draw

The Immigration, Refugee, Citizenship Canada (IRCC) just opened fourth Express Entry draw of the year and invited 3,300 candidates under Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) program.

This draw is notable as it was the first ever FSW specific draw since 2015, continuing the trend of a unique start to the year for Express Entry.

With this draw, the IRCC has so far invited a total of 15,193 candidates to apply for the Canada PR Visa, in overall 4 Express Entry draws. 

About Express Entry FSW Program

The Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) program is managed under Canada’s Express Entry system and the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to rank candidates in the pool. 

To qualify under FSWP, candidates doesn’t need to have prior Canadian work experience. Instead, they must meet a minimum points criterion and score at least 67 points based on factors, like work experience, language ability, and education. 

Once they enter the pool of candidates, the most competitive CRS scorers will obtain invitations to apply (ITAs) for Canada permanent residence.
