Express Entry draw opens for Agriculture and agri-food Occupations (2023-1)

Canada has opened latest Express Entry draw for Agriculture and agri-food Occupations (2023-1) category on 16 February 2024. This was second category-based draw this month and overall 4th draw in February 2024. The CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score requirement from Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) was just 437 points, which invited 150 candidates to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa in this particular category-based Express Entry invitation round.

The CUT OFF once again is low this being the category-based invitation round of Express Entry System. Now, three out of total six categories eligible for category-based selections in 2024 have been invited by Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) this year until date.

Existing categories have been continued for Category-Based selection in 2024

As per a recent announcement, the IRCC has indicated its dedication to maintaining the six current categories for category-based selection in Express Entry draws throughout 2024. These categories include:

• A strong French language proficiency or
• Work experience in one of the below fields:
  • healthcare
  • science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions
  • trades, such as carpenters, plumbers and contractors
  • transport
  • agriculture and Agri-food
