How to get an invitation via an Express Entry draw as a provincial nominee?

Each province and territory in Canada, except Quebec and Nunavut, operate its unique provincial nominee program (PNP). Each PNP has its immigration stream with individual eligibility criteria. For example, many PNPs need a prior connection to the province (work experience, a family member, a job offer, or past education in the province), while a few PNPs are for those foreign workers who don t have any prior connections to Canada.

Canadian PNPs aligned with the Federal Express Entry system allow applicants to apply for a PR visa via an expedited process. Many such PNPs review the Express Entry pool of candidates and select eligible profiles to apply for provincial nomination based on their work experience, skills, etc. Candidates who obtain a provincial nomination via an Express Entry aligned PNP stream receive an additional 600 CRS points. These points guarantee them an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in upcoming Express Entry draws.

Before receiving a provincial nomination, the lowest ranking applicants in today’s draw had a CRS score of just 152.
