Canadian PNP Draws Latest Updates

So far, in 2022, Canadian provinces have been highly active and conducted several PNP draws to invite and nominate eligible applicants for Canadian permanent residency.

As we all know, each Canadian province sets particular requirements through Provincial Nominee Programs and invites eligible applicants via several PNP streams.

PNPs make up a large portion of Canada’s overall economic immigration target, and for this year, out of a total of 241,850 newcomers, 83,500 ITAs will be issued to those with a Provincial Nomination.

BC PNP Draw Date: 15-July-2022

Invitations issued: 33

Minimum score: Between 146 and 174

Eligible EOIs: EOIs received and scored by the OINP:ES by July 8, 2022

BC PNP Draw Date: 14-July-2022

Invitations issued: 755

Minimum score: between 310 and above

Date profiles created: July 14, 2021-July 14, 2022

Ontario

The Ontario PNP opened two draws in July via Ontario's Express Entry Skilled Trades stream and Entrepreneur stream on the 14th and 15th of July, respectively.

In these OINP draws, the province invited 755 under Skilled Trades stream, and 33 applicants under Entrepreneur stream to apply for provincial nomination.

Manitoba

The Manitoba PNP issued a total of 366 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) via MPNP draw held on July 14 and invited eligible applicants under key streams.

Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan held an SINP draw on July 14 and invited 627 applicants to apply for provincial nomination under Express Entry and OID (Occupation in Demand) Sub-categories.

The province also invited 2 Ukrainian nationals under Canada's special immigration measure.

Previously on July 6 as well, Saskatchewan held a general draw and invited 682 applicants under Express Entry and OID (Occupation in Demand) Sub-categories.

British Columbia

British Columbia reopened an updated version of its Entrepreneur Immigration Base Category on July 13, 2022. After one year, the province ended the temporary pause, and the E.I. Base category is now open for new registrations from foreign entrepreneurs and businesspeople.

The province also opened general, and targeted BC PNP draws on July 12 and invited a total of 174 applicants to apply for provincial nomination under key categories:

  • General BC PNP Draw (Including Tech Occupations): 132 invitations issued
  • Targeted Draw (Childcare: Early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 4214): 22 invitations issued
  • Targeted Draw (Healthcare): 10 invitations issued
  • Targeted Draw (Healthcare: Health care assistants (NOC 3413)): less than 5 invitations issued

Targeted Draw (Other priority occupations (NOCs 3114, 3213)): less than 5 invitations issued
