On September 29, Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) opened its general PNP draw and issued 1,340 NOIs (Notification of Interest) letters via Skilled Trades stream.

About Ontario's Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream
This stream is exclusively designed for foreign workers with prior work experience in Ontario in eligible skilled trades.
To qualify for this stream, you must have a valid profile in the Express Entry system and obtain a Notification of Interest (NOI) letter from Ontario before applying online for nomination by the government of Ontario for Canadian permanent residence.
To qualify, you must:
- have at least 12-months of cumulative full-time work experience (paid) or an equal amount of paid part-time work experience gained in Ontario in any skilled trade listed under Minor Group 633 or Major Groups 72, 73 or 82 of the NOC (National Occupational Classification).
- have a valid certificate or a license in Ontario, if you have experience in any compulsory trade
- be living in Ontario and have a valid work permit while applying
- read, write , speak and understand either English or French and have scored at a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 5 or above in a valid language test
- have enough settlement funds to support yourself and your family members (if any) in Canada
