About Economic Mobility Pathways Project
The project combines economic immigration and refugee resettlement. This pathway is designed to:
- help skilled refugees move to Canada via existing economic programs
- give employers access to qualified candidates for filling job positions
To be eligible for the Canada's EMPP, candidates must:
- be a convention or country of asylum refugee
- have any one of the following documents:
- a positive, valid Refugee Status Determination (RSD) obtained from the UNHCR or any refugee-hosting state
- registration or recorded asylum seeker abroad
- a “person of concern” letter obtained from UNHCR
- be outside Canada and their country of persecution
- be admissible to Canada
- be eligible for any one of the economic immigration programs
- Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP)
- Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
- Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP)
