Prince Edward Island Invites 121 Candidates in Latest PEI PNP Draw

On August 18, 2022, Prince Edward Island opened another Expression of Interest PNP draw and invited 121 eligible applicants under the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur and Labour Impact and Express Entry streams.

The applicants who have received their invitations in this round must submit their complete application for provincial nomination. Successful nominees may get an invitation to apply for a Canadian PR visa in the upcoming EE draw.

  • Number of ITAs issued: 117

• Business Work Permit Entrepreneur Category
  • Number of invitations issued: 4
  • Minimum point requirement: 97

Prince Edward Island invites applicants under these three immigration categories and nominates prospective immigrants for Canadian PR.

So far in 2022, PEI has invited a total of 1627 candidates to apply for nomination under Express Entry and Labour Impact categories and 145 applicants under the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur stream.

Express Entry 

This category is linked to the Express Entry system and allows PEI to nominate Federal Skilled Trades Class, Federal Skilled Worker Class and Canadian Experience Class candidates for Canadian PR.

Candidates who have submitted their federal Express Entry profile receives an additional 600 points against their Comprehensive Ranking System score and surely gets an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence visa.

Labor Impact 

Prince Edward Island's Labour Impact Category is not linked with the EE system. It is majorly is divided into 3 streams:

• Skilled Workers (in and outside Canada)
• International Graduates 
• Critical Workers

Candidates under the above stated streams are required to be working in the Prince Edward Island or must have a valid, long-term and a full time job offer from province's employer.

Business Impact: Work Permit Stream

Business candidates who are invited via this stream must get a support letter from the Prince Edward Island to get temporary work permit. All those who successfully meet all the terms and conditions of province's business performance agreement will then get a provincial nomination from PEI to apply for Canadian permanent residence visa.
